SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (June 15, 2010) — DataFlux, a leading provider of data management solutions, today announced it is has appointed Saul Cunningham as managing director of its Australian operations to spearhead growth of the company's business and provide expertise in an emerging data management market. He has additional experience at BEA (a Borland subsidiary), Open Environment and Andersen Consulting.
Cunningham will help DataFlux – a wholly owned subsidiary of global business analytics leader SAS – aggressively expand its Australian operations by providing on-the-ground expertise for its comprehensive data management solutions to key market segments such as banking, manufacturing and utilities. The company's new technology offering, DataFlux Data Management Platform, unifies data quality, data integration and master data management capabilities within a single, unified platform. By empowering both the business users and IT staff, the new platform expands the reach of data management to more people in any organization.
“DataFlux is recognized as having market-leading data quality technologies and, with the launch of the Data Management Platform, the company is in a great position to bring a new solution to the Australian corporate market,” said Cunningham. “We have plans to achieve rapid growth in this market and to address specific data management challenges in many organizations across many verticals.”
Last year, DataFlux increased its global revenues by 30 percent as the company worked with its customers to help them transform their data into a business asset. By focusing on key initiatives such as risk management, cost control and business optimization, customers succeeded in their efforts to make critical data assets useful, actionable and governed across the enterprise.
“We see enormous opportunity in Australia, similar to the data management landscape we currently see in Western Europe and other geographies,” said Tony Fisher, president and CEO of DataFlux. “We are delighted to have a respected industry veteran like Saul in place to expand our operations in a market that is ripe for rapid growth.”
“A focus on enterprise data management can provide unprecedented insights into customer buying habits and organizational efficiencies, while identifying new revenue potential, mitigating risks and controlling costs,” Cunningham said. “Better data leads to better decision making which, ultimately, leads to better business. I’m looking forward to evangelizing that message in the Australian marketplace.”
